Looking for the 6 metal brackets to replace the rusted one's on mine ,

I've found part numbers for the bolts and grommets nothing for the metal brackets , I'm guessing they come riveted to the front lip , I might have to get new ones made up , any advice appreciated

Buy some alloy sheet, bend, or get it bent, drill out rivets, re-rivet.

Will take abt an hour all up.

 

If you can't get alloy, try brass strip either off ebay, or a local model shop. Both are strong enough but don't rust.

Personally, I'd also rivet what are called repair washers to the underside of the lip, so they spread the load of the rivet and it's not easily pulled through the plastic. they are available in stainless too.

The rivet then passes through repair washer, lip, bracket, from the bottom upwards.

 

Sure I saw them on import car parts. Will have a look again and post a link.
