Default Steering Wheel Hub/Boss

Hi All,

Wan't to switch to an aftermarket steering wheel so i need to buy a boss... just wondering if all years are the same? I.E if I buy one from a classic will it fit a bugeye? does anyone know which ones fit which?

any help appreciated

Whilst the splines are the same across the range, the clock spring on newer models need a very specific fitting boss. A lot of the cheaper ones don't fit over the clockspring so you'll lose the horn wiring and the indicator cancelling. I have a works bell boss which are about the best you can buy and includes the squib for cancelling the airbag light. Certainly worth checking it out as I have known OMP ones not to fit

They all have slight differences.
Best to get a hkb one too as the momo, omp etc ones etc are a pita to fit and not always correct fitment without modding.
