Lucky Brits and Cheap cars!
Hi all,
Ive been doing a lot of research about buying a Scoob in the UK and bringing it back to Dublin and the associated costs. Just thinking about it, if you guys in the UK did the same, you would come out with a fairly cheap brand new motor!
Check out the figures:
Cost new from Dealer in Dublin, including everything such as warranty, UK spec, alarm etc etc = 40,000 EUR
Less 20% VAT of 8000EUR
Less Irish VRT (cas not registering in Ireland) = 8000EUR
Leaving cost of car to UK buyers = 24000EUR or £14635Stg
Add 17.5% UK VAT and total cost of car is: £17195Stg
I dont think I am missing anything, so why arent you guys doing it more!!!!!! Ferry back to Liverpool or Holyhead is max £100...You guys are so lucky...!!!
If you want, I can send on details of Irish Official Subaru dealers who you could contact to find out more? Anything for the Scoob community!!
