Default Exhaust help 3inch catback system

Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy an exhaust I saw one cobra sports on eBay seems cheap and I am just looking for more sound to be honest, not much on the performance factor.

The exhaust

I have an impreza wrx blobeye 2005. My car already had a cheapy eBay catback which sounds rubbish.

I am not sure if this will fit my stock cat pipe. As this is 3 inch. Please shed some light on my dilema.

Just to confirm I am sure the wrx stock cat pipe is smaller and fitting a larger pipe to it going to cause power issues??? And would I need adapters or would be straight fit.

Thanks

Hi Kassim, no i'm afraid the 3" system will not fit the standard 2.5" system, you will need an adaptor, to be honest if your not afrter extra performance stick to a 2.5" system.

I have a full 3" system on mine from turbo back, but idealy you would need a remap after exhaust change.

Bolloks, I just bought the thing, a welding job should do it. Or even adapter as you said, ideally I don't want to take any cat out just yet. Want to keep that stock as I am tight on money possibly later i will add to it by full decat and remap.

I did call cobra and they did say as it as catback it reduces size near the end to fit the stock cat????
I am hoping all should be well.
