Chrome inserts behind rear doors
They used to be black but are now faded back to chrome. I have searched a lot of places but everyone keeps telling me they cant be sprayed and when I search for chrome paint i struglle to find anything other than chrome-look paint which is the opposite, lol
I read somewhere that you can sand them down but what do you use to paint them? Halfords have nothing
Any ideas?
cheers

If you want to be certain of your paint not flaking off start by using an etch primer, this does as it say on the tin and etches into the metal but make sure you give the surface a good key first and that they are free of any contaminates before spraying. Once you have put a couple of coats of primer on flat it back using 1500/2000 grit wet and dry paper before then putting your top coats on.

Great thanks chaps. And while Im on the subject of spraying things black, the black rubber seals which run along the bottom of the door windows (eg between the glass and the body) are getting a bit faded in places, any ideas if these can be sprayed/replaced? I wonder if any of these rubber seals are contributing to my horrendous wind noise over 50 mph??
