Just wondering if anyone here has used Zymol car products or knows someone who has? I was going to buy some from their site www.zymol.co.uk but looked at the prices and thought, i'll ask the scoobynetters first

They specifically cater for Japanese cars too, must be differences in the paint process or sumthin.

There has just been a group buy of Zymol products on scoobynet through the waz wizard himself Mark Underwood. Check around the bbs or either Wax Wizard, Zymol or Mark Underwood (07966 713177)and see what people think.

Mark is always open to people calling him to talk about the products.

 

I don't think Mark (Wax Wizard) has anything to do with Zymol any more. He used to distribute their products a couple of years ago, but went out on his own as the Wax Wizard and has now sold out to Swissol and sells their products.

It would appear that Swissol & Zymol are direct competitors in the premium end of the market, selling real waxes. Others such as Autoglym are polishes and not waxes.

Have used Zymol, WW and Autoglym over the last few years. A/glym is now in the bin. Zymol and WW are both excellent products though a little costly. But at the end of the day you only get what you pay for and in this case its well worth paying for a premium product.

Youll not regret it.

I bought the Zymol starter kit a while ago.
It was 90 quid which is a bit pricey but the end results are good.
I also have some wax wizard stuff as well.

In hindsight I would have just bought the wax wizard stuff instead

I bought a Zymol starter kit,the Titanium set.I will buy WW next only because Marh here gave up his time to help me in a previous thread,great customer service!

However,it seems the Titanium wax from Zymol will last 4/5 years! With 6 mothly top ups of the cleanse and quaterly top ups of the wash.
Its a great wax,the car looks great,but I needed the local knowledge off mark,particularly the tecnique required to get a good finish.

I have no idea which is "better" and i doubt only Mark could answer that,but i think it boils down to the amouts of the carnauba used,which I think its similar.I do know that with the Zymol,muck and tar spots just fall off.You can wash the car weekly in a few minutes with a touch of their wash in cold water.The car always looks great after a chamoising.
