I have had the Z1 since the day they came out in the UK. I love it, works an absolute treat, very fast, battery life is very good and being waterproof is quite useful if you are into outdoor sports or events at all. Camera is also very good. +1 here
WarnockSTI i am curious does the touch screen work when wet as that is always an issue when doing outdoors stuff?
basicly it is a choice between a Nexus 5 or Z2 or pay an extra £75 and get an S5

I've got the xperia z2, in fact I'm on it atm.
I used to have the xperia s, (LT26i) and prefer that in all honesty.
The z2 is good, but a bit too big imo and I'm not sure if it's the phone or network (3) but the internet keeps dropping despite full signal etc etc.
I'm up for upgrade next year (a long wait) and will strongly be considering a lumia depending on the progress with cortana.

before i got the Nexus 4 18 months ago i was seriously considering a Nokia Lumina 920 but it was about a generation behind the Android OS at that time and i think the 930 is really out classed still, i am now running Lollipop on my Nexus 4 use google maps every day for real time traffic etc i think Android is the OS for me at the moment
I've had loads of phones, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S3 but the Z1 is hands down the best phone of them all (my current work phone is an iPhone 6) - its built like a tank but not excessively thick, has ANT+ built in (I do running / cycling / triathlons) and the screen / touch screen is excellent.
I would have no issues recommending the Sony, I will even be upgrading to the Z3.
