The first one is a UK version so different to the jap imports

It's a dccd widetrack which is a good start but has a wrx spoiler for some reason

If you wanted the sti spoiler you'd have to buy one from a breaker and drill extra holes

It's quite a good price and mapped by one of the best

The second one is a spec c so has the jap refinements twin scroll 8k redline
Roof vent etc

Mapped by scoobynet clinic so again mapped by pat another one of the bests

Choice is totally upto you

Don't let mileage put you off its probably a mix of both km and miles

Go down have a blast in both see what you think

10k isn't overly priced for a spec c imho

Steve

Thanks for the quick reply,

I've been and seen both of them, I can't find anything wrong mechanically with either of them, the body work on the White one is spotless and pritty much the same on the silver one. Could os stonechips only.

Been looking at others but can find later halkeyed models for less etc but all with different specs etc.

I'm leaning towards the spec c, but would not sure upon resale if I'm going to get the same kind of money back

Spec c does look nice plus it's got the s202 spoiler which is rare if genuine

Plus it has an aftermarket ecu over a grands worth so win win

Not sure how the vf37 (that's the twin scroll turbo spec c has) would handle the anti lag lol

The spec c wouldn't depreciate that much if I had a choice I'd say the spec c

I bought my type R from max, he's honest with his cars and did stand up when a problem was found with mine so can't fault him.

All his cars look in great condition, and seems to have a steady supply of them

I'm coming from a mk5 golf r32 dgs, with all the added extras and auto everything, where the build quality is also much better, however reckon I can live with the manual windows etc, but would get central locking fitted to it.

I'm just unsure on how race a spec c is and I can't find one to compare the price too.

S202 is single scroll VF34 which is very un-laggy.

Awesome car, which is why I have one!

Is it a blob spec c

Or an s202 with blob front end conversion

It's a blob spec-c which should have a VF36 which is even spoolier than the vf37 or ss vf34

The rear spoiler is the same as the ones supplied on the Litchfield Cars...ie NOT genuine but as close as it gets, The feet/boot mounts are different

Ok so looking like the spec c then, however in having an issue with the reg, it doesn't match the car according to the insurance companies. Comes up as a gx automatic, how can I find out exactly what it should be listed as?

So insures won't cover it as its an import also.

Spec c has after market ecu and fuel pressure regulator and exhaust system and only has 340bhp .Hell of a low bhp figure

I'm not knocking them mate, its just not a simple as JDM=10/10 UKDM=0/10 as Trinity would have you believe.

It happens alot with imports. DVLA are well known for making mistakes and listing the car as a non turbo etc etc.
Once you own the car you can apply to DVLA to have the log book amended.

If you are struggling for insurance then try another company. There are a few specialists on here, have a look in the insurance section
