Came to leave Tesco car park earlier and all of a sudden my cars decided it didn't want to pull off on ice and just sit there stuck. Got it moving but there's an almighty 'knock knock knock' noise coming from the front end, the car will boost but it feels like there's barely any drive at all, just rev it and it goes barely anywhere.
Managed to limp it home as it's only a very short trip but I have a feeling this is going to now be an expensive bill.
Got back home and pulling into the drive it's definitely become a rear wheel drive Impreza. No drive to the front whatsoever....

Blind guess: Somebody's broke a driveshaft. Or a CV joint has fell apart.

This is where you find a viscous diff Impreza doesn't work when only three wheels are driven.
