Six Speed into 05 WRX
I've been gathering parts for my six speed and it's almost time to put it in. Here is a list of what I have so far.
V7 STi Transmission
V7 STi Rear Differential
Aluminum DSS Drive shaft
V6 STi RA/R rear hubs
Subaru 4/2 Pot calipers
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
V7 STi axles
Kartboy bushings
Motul Gear 300 fluid
Some slight problems include the V7 rear diff companion flange is an R160 flange but the diff is actually and R180. To make the R180 aluminum drive shaft work you need to swap out the flange which is easy.

So the gearbox is in the car and it's awesome! We had a few problems along the way like a dowel pin in the trans and the drive shaft hitting the car, and the front axles not fitting but other than that it went very smooth. The car feels like it's pulling itself around corners now. I love it. It is going to take getting used to to be around 3400rpm at 70 mph in 6th gear but it shouldn't be to bad.
The 6 speed is way better than my stock 5 speed. It's stronger, limited slip front and rear differentials. Also has way less miles than my 5 speed. My 5 speed was on it's way out because of one bearing and the pilot bearing in the flywheel was missing all the ball bearings. The car just acts better and I love it.
