Mother-in-law lives in her own little bungalow within a sheltered complex. Very happy there, large residential house for hot main meal and social events yet owns her own private space.
TV reception is lousy ! She is on the border of two areas, Lincs and East Mids, low down in a river valley, trees around etc. The complex of her 10 bungalows, in a U shape, all have to share a roof mounted aerial that is wired to each property. Under the terms of the lease she is not allowed her own roof mounted aerial.
She has been told that an indoor digital aerial will be better than using the shared roof one. So, if I get her an indoor aerial then what do I look for?
What is a good make, what has the best capacity to improve things for her ?

I'd have thought the main one shared must have better view of antenna?

 

Forgot about a loft aerial, we will have to look at her lease agreement and see what that says but could be an option.
I can't see an indoor one being better than an outdoor but …….. I'm no expert.

To be honest that sort of area you may get away with a loft aerial as you have a choice of two transmitters Belmont and Waltham

Also if her system has been changed on the last10 years and she's still getting problems from the communal system she won't have no chance with her standalone aerial

 

Our signal got worse when they actually switched off the analogue,

Hence the dish.

Previous owners had dish and all other houses here have them, still only 38 quid put up
