Default scooby number 2 type r project!

Some of you may have seen my post last week in the type r shell I have bought. It's bannys old car which has been stripped and I have bought shell with few other goodies left on it(will post when have it)....

By no means is this going to be a quick job have my blob Sti which I'm finishing atm and that will still take alot of time and money to get it where I want it... This type r will be on the side to do bit by bit as I go...

so the plans are:
Full respray - midnight purple. Not to everyone's taste I know.
ABW Arches
maybe aero body kit on it
Wide wheels not sure yet long way off
Brembos all round
Bucket seats
Stripped out interior

Engine wise I'm unsure 100%it will be twinscroll. I will be keeping it on a 5 speed so we t be big power like blob..

So should I go for 2.5short engine with V5 heads???

Or
v8 short engine with V5 heads?
Prob going for 380bhp is depending on which is the strongest 5speed? And power it can take??

Not getting car until January so will keep updated as I go

Thanks ryan

I had a 2.5 with sc36 in my old v3 Classic. Ran spot on without any lag. Was 354/350.

Excellent. Looking forward to this project. I think the twin scroll route sounds very interesting. However I think I'd err towards the six speed as you're on the limit with the five speeder at 380 bhp.

Ah, makes sense.

I was wondering how he could have broken the current car so quickly!

Should be a nice build. Will be watching with interest!

Been over at cuprajakes this afternoon decided colour I'm going for is Ford frozen white. The purple is a good idea but if it's needs paint it's the whole side that needs doing so give for the white. Keeping the green cage so I think will look pretty cool when all done and colour matched with engine etc. Off to paint end of Jan so bit by bit whilst getting my blob done be getting a parts list together

Bit of a update. So today went and picked up Aero body kit for the car.. well minus the side skirts. Getting ABW to make some for it in new year. Ready for paint at end of Jan

Ok so it begins..

Met Brian from cams at cupra jakes this morning dropping car off for me and me and jake went over the car.. mostly jake as I'm ****e with body work.. so bit more work than first though the SW cage is good but alot of things need doing where welds have been done and not rust protected and few holes need sorting out apart from that it's a pretty solid shell.. panels need spring few ripples and rust here and there which is expected from a car this old but if you guna do it may aswell do it rite so left car with jake to have a proper look over it today and start job.

So its going to be sprayed Ford frozen white with Aero body kit and ABW Arches..

hoping that the time and effort of this car will in the future reflect value of it as they seem to be rising.. got a hell of alot of work to be done which I will be doing pretty much all myself bit by bit for the rest of the year aswell ad having my blob project with will always be changing

It's going to be a big job for sure,

The panels and paint that is on it now is a lot worse than I remember when I saw it at Brian's last year, we've certainly got our work cut out lol.

Yeah he did then seemed to loose interest or run out of funds..

Needs alot of bodywork to get it rite about 20-30 hours at jakes sorting out everything so it's rite..

Hopefully be worth it tho
