I can't figure out if I can get a harness to fit in my 93 wrx. The seatbelt clip side of the chair doesn't look like it would take an eye bolt. Has anyone done it and if so any chance of sending me some pics/any help

Cheers
Charlie

Charlie

You fit the eyes to the seat belt location points on the body of the car and the inner rear seat location bolt.

Pete, I can fit them to the door post and rear seat ok, but the front beltclip stalk seems to have a nut on the outside not a bolt as such. Maybe a picture would explain it better. I have Sabelt 3 points from my old car, so I'm familiar with fitting them it's just not obvious how the console side bolts would fit. Maybe I might figure it out if I take the seat out. Thanks anyway

Charlie I have just fitted a 4 point harness into my 97 Sti and found the best place for the front eye bolts was under the seat.Place them as far back as you can get them and as near to the sides of the seat as possible.Fitting them in this position enables you to drill the floor just by sliding the seat forward and not removing it.Hope this can be of help to you.
Cheers Paul.

Would these drilled floor points be strong enough in the event of a crash? I've always been told to fit them to exsisting anchor points. I think I'll just have to sell the harness I've got and go for a bolt in one instead

Thanks anyway
