Default Petrol Leak

Hi All,

Noticed a lovely smell of petrol recently so decided to investigate today.
Found a not so nice leak from the bottom of my fuel tank.

Seems to be the Rubber grommet has given up, does anyone know if this can be replaced or is a tank out jobby?

Its a 99 Classic, UK Turbo

Thanks
Nick

That rubber grommet is not on the fuel tank. It is a grommet in the chassis (under the rear seats) where the three fuel pipes go from outside under the car into the cabin. That gromet is just there to stop the pipes from rubbing it can't leak.

If anything is leaking there it is the pipes or their connectors.

Ohhh I wondered why every time I searched on-line people removed the back seat.
Thanks a lot, will have a look tomorrow and see what's leaking.

Thanks Again
