Hello! I am pretty sure that i am not the only one who has asked for this question but i couldn't find a straight answer anywhere.

I am about to do a 6speed swap to my -96 sti (New gearbox will be from -02 sti). The only thing worrying me at the moment is the speedo because the old one has cable and the new one is electric. Do i have to do a conversion of some kind or can i just unscrew the vss and plug the cable right in?

 

It's more simple than you think, simply swap the electric drive for the mechanical one, it's a straight swap & takes 2 minutes.
