Default Blob or hawk?

I've been searching for a decent 05 hawk for a while now, and all the ones I have seen don't do it for me, or really rough...

Someone has offered me what looks to be a nice 03 JDM STI blob... And very tempted!

So what would you go for? Why?
I need to get back into a subaru.. Lol.. Thanks

Your not gonna get a definitive answer on here as there as some people how love jdm imprezas and some who love the UK 2.5 hawks

There is also the road tax for an 06 and above hawk at 500 quid a year which I'll be paying end of this month

Test drive both is my answer

I myself I have the 2.5 hawk and cannot fault it always puts a smile on my face when I rag the granny out of it

Blob 05 STI or Blob JDM with front end Hawk conversion would be something pretty special.

I,ve owned my 05 JDM STI Blob for four and a half years now, no problems in that time. 1.55 bar boost, front mount and other mods. Body and underneath still excellent. 75000 miles on the clock now aswell. Very reliable. Steve.

What he said, it's you that has to live with it and it's very much a personal taste so go test drive both and see what it is you're happy with

And it's called blind faith lol

I listened to all you jdm lovers and bought one, loved it on the test drive and after a few months didn't want it anymore. Sold up and went back to the UK version

hawk sti with a forged engine would be an epic road car but the engines are known to be a bit fragile from standard.

Just sold my forged uk 55 plate hawk for 8k ,, and jumped into a uk 2.5 hatch ,,, don't think I'd ever have a 2ltr scoob as my road car again ,,, owned them all apart from a 2.35 and the 2.5 wins for me every time as a road engine

That the thing I like about them, the low down grunt of the 2.5 makes for a cracking Road car.
