Hi.
I've got to change my uppipe lower gasket as it's blowing.
If a new subaru gasket doesn't fix and it still blows.should I use loctite black gasket goo on it as well.
I've searched and sounds like some garages used black silicone sparingly on it.

That's the thing though.can't really use the hard paste stuff before the turbo.
Hopefully I won't have to use anything.
Read a few threads and the silicone stuff isn't hot enough but a few have used it.it does say manifolds on the specs though.

 

Hi, I have a similar issue, my up pipe is aftermarket and is blowing at the manifold to up-pipe with an original gasket, I've gone for a Grimmspeed 12 layer job which I'm hoping will fix the issue, one of these

You can get genuine Subaru gaskets from import car parts. Make sure you give both contact faces a clean before sticking the new gasket on.
