Hi guys
I have fitted said short shift to my STI8 and for some reason you no longer have to slide the gearstick sleeve up to put it in reverse, it just does in with out that. Anyone else had this issue??? It's a PITA to find 5th and 6th and I'm worried I will grind it into reverse by mistake..
Many thanks in advance
Dan

Not sure that is correct, I had a B@M short shift on my RA with hawk 6 speed and it retained the reverse interlock slider. The lifting of the lever pulls on a cable which in turn rotates a cam on the side of the box that disengages the reverse interlock.
I removed mine after a short mapping session as it was rubbish. The standard 6 speed linkage with updated bushes is a pretty good combination.
