I have just stripped and rebuilt my rear shocks, still got the fronts to do, but have noticed that when the top mount is back on and lined up with the bottom spring seat, the top rubber spring seat/bump stop isn't all the way up onto the top plate. Is this something that pushes into place when mounted on the car and weighted?

I should have taken a pic before I took them apart!
