I am having the above fitted 2 days before a track day?

Should I get them done earlier, will this cause any problems?

 

I dont see why dave as long as you get the geometries set at the same time. The eibaks will settle over time but it wont cause any problems on track if thats what your woried about.

As to the brake hoses, as long as they are installed properly and the brakes bled you should have no issues at all. It might be a good idea to get some uprated pads whilst your at it. I asume thats what you mean?

Just bed the pads in properly, follow the instructions. Most modern pads are very simple to bed in but it depends on the ones you go for so follow the specifics for that pad.

TSL are handling the geometry and stuff, and I think they are the ferodo 2500 stuff.

You wont have issues with the pads dave, good choice! The ferodo's come ready to use and only need a few aplications to be bedded as long as the disks are in top condition.

Just make sure you follow the instructions i wrote on the driving techniques site about looking after the brakes on track, if you do what i say you wont bugger the pads or disks.

 

I got 18000 out of the standard set, including Donnington, Bedoford and the ring!!

Maybe I brake like a [insert word here]

I am quite hard on the brakes when i push it Dave.

The ring is far less demanding on a car than a UK circuit with regards brakes and tyres, especially in the wet. You will also find Donnington GP doubles the brake wear rate over the national track, it's a big diference.

The main points to take onboard are to do with cooling down and not allowing heat soak into the calipers or warping disks by sitting in the pits with your foot on the brake or the handbrake on. Also make sure you take a spare set of pads to get you home safely if you do wear the pads out, it's a road safety issue!
