Default Oh well the Scoob is gone....

.........Into my garage for a little while so i can take stock and get some work carried out on her.

With buses doing a hit and runs on the front wing and bumper and other niggly things that need sorting out i have decided to take it off the road for a while.

I will also be starting a new job next Monday and having a regular commute from Merthyr to Llantrisant every day i didn't want to load up the Impreza with tons of miles.

Soooooo. I don't the dirty and I bought a Vauxhall , and a Signum variety at that.

Its the 2005 2.2i pertrol version (no dirty dervs here please)

What you think for a little run about?

Not a bad run around fella and the extra space in the back can be used to collect parts for the scooby. Like your thinking.

Well that's a nice little replacement, always liked the look of these

That will give you plenty of time on the Scooby to sort out the little things you need to do

I will give you 6 months before you miss it and tax it to use it again..!

Good luck Lil Ears, I hope it all goes well and you enjoy driving a boring Vauxhall.

Seriously though even Jeremy Clarkson said the Signum was a good car and far better than the Vectra it was based around.

Cheers Ian I have already got / had some of those bits. Looks like I'm going to go prodrive front end and might try running spoiler less for a while. New alloys and a total freshen up.

Thanks for looking

Gibz make sure chain has been checked on them engines as tensioner gives up and starts to rattle, nice car for cruising and space but hate to say it the 2.2 is up there with the worst of the engines problematic and prone for chains.

Don't want to sound a **** just to make sure your aware that's all

You at PCAD on the weekend?

Hey bud, the chain problem was sorted prior to me purchasing it. It has been upgraded to the later version (inc. tensioner)

everywhere i read states that the 2.2 direct engine is one of the better engines in the petrol range. Guess i will soon find out from driving it.

forgot that PCAD was tomorrow and doubt that i will be making it because of the following:
a) the scoob is off the road
b) I havent got a ticket
c) its my leaving doo tonight and i will be suffering for the majority of tomorrow

I do however need to see plenty of photographs from my second in command and SWS paparazzi junior member Mr. Tyron

Stiffies some like them some don't but I bought a set for mine not for the look of them but to stop the wing bouncing up and down like a trampoline which can't be to Good at speed and needs to be ridged for it to keep the back end in toe as it's no good bouncing up and down
