Has anyone used one of these and thinks thay are / are not worth the investment at about £40?

bit of a waste of money if you ask me.the guy who wrote the advertisement has obviously never done an oil change.i mean,how hard is it to undo the sump plug and let the oil pour into a tray.thats the easiest part of the job,its changing the oil filter that makes more mess on your hands and takes more time.

 

I know what you're saying, it's just I've had a few oil slicks on the driveway in the past - which haven't gone down well with the Mrs. Still, £40 is a tad dear.

makes life a little easier. I change my oil regularly (less than 3k miles) so not having to get new crush washers and as you say...oil everywhere! I got the version with a hose so I can drain it straight into another container in minutes with no oil spill at all...plus you will never run the risk of stripping the threads on your sump!

Have used /transfered one on my last three Subaru's, even the Dealer loves the idea..........

 

i actually like this stahlbus version a bit better as you can't accidentally open it (not that I ever have)

so I've just ordered one hahaha!
