Tyre recommendations???
As title suggests, I will shortly be replacing the rear tyres on the car. It's currently got Bridgestone potenza re070 all round. I'm considering trying a different tyre on replacement............ I do drive in all weathers, and have the occasional spirited drive.
Anyone tried any of the other brands around and got any recommendations??
Cheers max

Hi Max, I'm sure someone will be along soon to give some advice but if you do a search on here there are a few tyre threads to read through with a few recommendations.
My old mans running Yokohama Prada Spec2s on his Spec C and he's happy with them although they do feel quite a soft compound and that's what I'm thinking swopping mine for but I guess what suits one driver may not suit another.

The Re070 was designed with the spec c in mind, extra strong side walls for high speed cornering on the nurburgring, some people don't like them as they think they tramline, I would suggest this is down to low tread depth and hardening due to age, I would suggest you won't go far wrong sticking with the tyres subaru supplied the car with, plus they are not that expensive either, when we were out in the rain the other night even when pulling off swiftly they never lost traction!! Plus they look good

FFS don't buy cheap ditch finders.
You see so many Scoobs, tuned to death fitted with Linglong/Wanli/Accelera, just waiting for the Grim Reaper to strike.
Camskills are probably the best place or try M444GY, he's great.

If you have a COSTCO card they do Micheline and Bridgestone and frequently have deals. I can get you a few quotes from them if you want.

Trending Topics
Federal RSR, same compound as Toyo R888. I'll be giving them a try in a couple of months, currently have Falken 452 18's and find them to be a decent all rounder for the price £75 a corner, the 453's are meant to be even better.

Have priced them up falken fk453 in 225/45/17 are just under £70 a corner delivered. Then obviously getting a garage to fit them on the q.t. Have had a price from a garage up with us for £84 a corner fully fitted, balanced etc. and with a 10% discount voucher they were giving out at one point they seemed a good deal. Good reviews and a better wet grip rating than the Bridgestone Re070's!
