which handling upgrade on Classic wagon?
I am looking to improve the handling on my classic wagon (turbo year 2000) with track day performance being more important than comfort on road. I am thinking of an ARB upgrade first (22mm front 24mm rear) followed at a later date by upgraded springs.
Does this make sense or should I be looking to change springs first? ARB and coilovers are probably out of my price range at present. car runs on 17" wheels.

I'm working on a road/track wagon spring at the moment.
As you may know, the wagon is about 35kgs heavier at the rear.
As bonesetter says, arb's are normally the best way to go, because of the poor selection of available classic springs, particularly for the wagon.
I'm trying to equalise the spring rates somewhat, so the same size arb's, could be utilised front and rear. A stiffer front bar setting should also become possible, dependent on handling preferences.
A prototype, saloon, version of this spring has been made and should be arriving next week.

If you will be doing the fitting of the bits then you can do it in stages,if a garage is doing the work best to get the bits fitted in one go (labour charges etc)
On my Impreza (Type R so different but handling mods are the same imo) I went with 24mm ARB and Whiteline droplinks,TCA bushes (they were fecked),steering rack bush (an overlooked change imo).
Bilstein struts+P1 springs (but that combo is hard to find,although there is possibility of those springs being remade
)
My car is a daily drive yet is still comfortable on the road whether it be fast road or normal driving.
