utter lazy scumbags, these programs are just designed to get a reaction from the working part of the population.

it wont be long before we have immigrants dancing on ice or striclty somalian
i agree, also they shouldnt have dole money they should have tokens for food/gas/electric etc

i dont understand why these shows are allowed to be aired as its clearly rubbing it in our faces

they are absolute pond life who should have been put down at birth

Tell me about it. Don't get me wrong, I've claimed JSA for a total of 3 weeks since the age of 15. A one week and a two week block. I turned up in a suit and my soul was destroyed by the track suit brigade. I always look at it like this, I've paid in and I need a temporary hand not I can't be bothered to work it's for mugs.

You pick up a much wider social network through working for a living. I can't imagine not working in the long term. 2 weeks was torture enough. Still a career change sorted that hopefully for some time to come.

On the news just now...

The prog. has had complaints from the public about the illegal shenanigans going on e.g. admitting to shoplifting etc.

I did think that would happen lol.

Not sure if they said the police were gonna follow up on anything though.

C4 were unavailable for comment lol

thats the thing though, you shouldnt feel bad for claiming benefit as long as you intend on coming off it.i have always worked since i was 14-from my before school milk round and after school cleaning up at an engineers shop to working 7 days a week landscaping and also 3-4 nights a week on the doors.

my parents have always bought me up with the fact that "yes son you can have that.............if you work for it"

i was made redundant back in 2009 when the credit crunch was at its worse, after living off my pay-out and then my savings i had to seek benefit and like you i felt ashamed to be from the same race as the tracksuit numpties drinking special brew @ 9am waiting for their dole check.i ended up being on benefits for just under 3 months as there was no work out there and my partner had her hours cut to 12 hours a week so we really had no choice, luckily an old boss rang me up and offered me work @ the start of jan 2010 and i have been working flat-out ever since and i was also promoted to supervisor.

when i was out of work i felt so low and down, how these bell-ends can live for years like it i do not know

On midlands today (BBC news) top headline was how the people in the street have been misrepresented. C4 said it was standing by its program. Police are investigating death threats on twatter and facef**k.

Bollox...ch4 just hyped up the issue that these scoats exist even if there are some good folk there. These idiots were stupid enough to allow themselves to be filmed and show what illegal and moral-less activities they will do whilst pissing away tax payers money now will pay the consequence, not from the police but from the taxpayers who fund them.

This is why many pikey men always hide their faces on documentaries... They know the repercussions of rubbing the publics face in it.

Yep. Regardless of any 'entrapment' on C4's part, you gotta be one enormous ***** gloating over one's own illegal behaviour whilst knowing it's gonna be aired on national primetime telly.

Beggars belief.

But then, they're thick *****. So no surprise.

Euthanasia and compulsory sterilisation for their offspring is what people like that need.

Wife works getting long term unemployed back to work and actually covers this area - I can safely say that this isn't just a select few like this ....

Yes there are legitimate claimants on benefits but there are also a lot of people who revel in being able to do nothing for something!

Dare I say it - this issue seems more prevalent in some communities / races / sections of society than others (I see it often enough being a 3rd generation immigrant)!

Ar, I know someone who works in Birmingham City Councils housing dept. and shes never short of the stories about the kind of people she has to deal with.

Also some interesting stories about how her work place is managed too; the tax payer is stug twice - one by funding the layabout claimants and also paying the wages of upper managment in councils that wastes money, takes excessive salaries and never holds themselves accountable and forcing cuts to the lower level workers wages/staffing levels.

"How edgy Channel 4 must think it is, courageously reinforcing widespread prejudices, heroically hammering away at a message that is heard relentlessly already, bravely echoing the Government mantra about skivers"

What a crock of ****, this ^^^ is, it's just someone jumping on the bandawagon making themselves look to be whiter than white.

Everyone knows there are wasters like these up and down the country who refuse to work, why defend them and play the sympathy card?

Having watched Benefits street, it's not much different to Sesame Street.

Both have a big bird, a bloke living out of a bin, and people trying to learn the alphabet.
