I guess the OP's heart was in the right place but you did come on here slagging off a company and basically, telling everyone else to avoid using them for stickers because........well,.....they stick!

Have to expect a little slating for that fella.

Some good cutting compound should sort that.

 

Not sure about that, looks like the laquer's peeled right off. It probably had a smart repair in that area before he bought it to tidy it up for sale.

 

Oh dear, I can think of someone on here that is going to be so mad with you lot for your treatment of this poor soul

 

Obviously the boot has had a crappy paint job at some point and whoever did it let the paint dry fully before applying the lacquer thus the lack of bond, that tied with the fact you never heated up the sticker to remove, that's why it's done that.

 

So, should scoobybits pay for the repair??

 

Stick more stickers on, then when you pull them off you will know whats been badly repaired

 

Ditto. I've purchased decals off these guys to replace standard ones and they were fine, good quality and looked as good as the original.

 

Put sticker back on and get another to cover the rust, job jobbed.

Or, just get a replacement bootlid, it looks to be in need of one.

It looks like the transfer sheet has took the paint with it when he's tried to whip it off. This sheet is normally quite sticky but you don't press it on to the car, I think you just press down on the lettering as that's the part you want to stick, not the transfer sheet.
Oh well, maybe just leave the car as it is, looks quite unique

 

Stop it, this is just hilarious! In time even the op will see the funny side. Even my twelve year old was able to work out that the lettering needed pressing not the whole sheet. I did one side he did the other. The transfer sheet is very sticky so no surprise at what happened to the op.

Ahh talking of this, why is it Non stick products are the only thing with water stuck to them when the dishwahers has finished???? every thing else is dry.

 

I live in a soft water area, some live in a hard water area, you my friend obviously live in a sticky water part of the country
