Sorry to say, but if YOU don't have experience of (successful) litigation in the SCC you really shouldn't be posting as an authority.
Sigh, did you read my post at all? Where have I posted as an authority on any litigation? My post is about anything but litigation ... that was kind of the point of it!

I'm prepared to put MY money where my threads are.
It's an Internet forum about cars not a self help co-operative. If you want to donate financially or otherwise to the OP go right ahead, but nowhere has he indicated that he wants or needs your money! If you feel that offering that somehow gives you more status or validity in here best of British to you, but maybe a PM to the OP would have been the best approach... that is advice gleaned after being here for 14 years... you know... personal experience and all that!

Yup Though I don't know how much a standard Bug was new, these UK300 were £25k new without the power upgrade.

Er .... nowhere that I've bothered to look but that's immaterial because what I stated was that if you (in this case but 'one' in others of course) don't have - and bear in mind that I don't know if you have or not - actual experience of the Smalls Claims process, then be careful to mention that for fear of being taken as an expert and possibly leading someone in the wrong direction.
It's surprising how many times we (all) have a preconceived idea of something (Lord knows there's a number of times on here that I've been corrected and enlightened, but they've been misconceptions about cars that wouldn't aggravate situations).

With an issue of possibly far-reaching implications imo one has to have had the experience to support the advice they are giving.

Fwiw I have successfully defended myself twice in a Small Claims Court and advised two people (none of which are members here) on how to go about the process, both times they won.
And I always say that I'm not a legal professional.

Now, now, don't get all tetchy. ()
How many threads would you class as 'help/advice wanted/needed' etc ?
It certainly was a helpful co-operative when I asked about a part for my car.

My other point is that I'm prepared to put my money where my mouth is, in order to give anyone that I give advice to the confidence of knowing that I'm 100% confident about the advice I'm giving.
It's disappointing that you, in some quite peculiar way, have construed it as me seeking a merit point.

I don't put words into people's mouths, I give advice and/or make comments and observations that hopefully will enable them to form ideas in their heads about how to go about something.

Apologies to the op for what might appear to be deviating from your issue but I think it's very important that you are able to draw confidence from comments that I and others make.

Imo the poster's comments strike at my credibility, and hence that of the advice I gave, and which I will continue to.

Op - PM me by all means (as a few have done over the past months, as it happens). I don't push myself forward but in the same way that many knowledgeable members would help me if I had an issue with the car I can at least reciprocate in areas where I have knowledge and experience.

Sounds like it is a co-operative to me...................

Finally, there will be no more comments or responses from me in this thread that will deviate from the op's intention. They have asked for advice and didn't intend to start an unseemly quarrel.

The bug uk300 is as it looks, ie has the lights, skirts, lip, spoiler, wheels and seats.
So will come with the standard twin pea shooter wrx backbox and 218bhp

The ppp as i understand is an optional extra and consists of ecu upgrade, a blue silicon hose and the backbox.
But you could either have one of them, or all 3 to get a certificate.

As not everyone had the ecu upgrade at £800

PPP was an option on the bug UK300.
Standard on a blob WRX 300.
