Agreed this is what I was after. I do know in the US there is graphs on NASIOC comparing them to the Blouch and power outputs are very similar

I totally agree with you though it's just that these turbos need a chance to try and prove themselves in the tuners market over here in the UK for people to take them seriously and that's what they have not done yet.In the USA there modifying scene is massive and cheap so people can afford to buy stuff test them to destruction and so on with out putting a big hole in there pocket.I think that another thread needs to be started with actual users of these turbo's who can give some hands on feedback and not hearsay.SJ.

None of the big tuning companies are going to test these as they all make a fortune selling their own branded turbos & most people will prefer to pay over the odds for a known product with guaranteed results. Perhaps someone should start a thread detailing results & car spec with graphs & details of how long the turbos last, once several cars are on it people can see for themselves if these turbos are worth a punt.

I hear ya jura but how does a part get a reputation?it has to be test driven hard make good power have good reliability,maybe if someone built a car around one of these turbos and started kicking *** on the track maybe people might sit up ans listen.I think the jury is still out with this one as one or two bad experiences should not be used to rubbish a whole brand.SJ.

I think that's why most of us pay extra for certain things, it's for the back ground and history of items.
Someone else has done the donkey work and been the Guinee pig in most cases and we just pay extra for that reason.
I'll keep paying extra for piece of mind TBH.

i have just purchased a Kinugawa TD05-25G-7CM BILLET WITH 3" ANTI SURGE COVER, so will be more than happy to post results after its mapped after christmas, its fitted to a sti v4 with a vesion 7 bottom end, graham goode modified oil pump, hks headers and uppipe, 800cc densos ported and polished version 4 heads front mount fuel lab reg etc not after wringing all the horse out of it just after a reliable car that i can trackday and enjoy! There is of course speculation as to wether these turbos are any good etc but only time will tell, worse case AF gets a call for a rebuild!! but as im sure you guys are aware the reliabilty on any parts you add will depend on what you've already done and how much stress they are under which in due course will determin how long the whole engine lasts.
Like i said im hoping for around 380ish so will keep you posted.

My old sierra had a £4k+ engine, zetec turbo
I used an xs power £250 ebay T4 turbo on it. It was mapped at 397bhp/386lbft and had more in it but i had surge issues.
Unfortunatly the car was wrote off 1/2 miles down the road after being mot'd and road legal after the 5.5 year build on it...
I covered 167 miles with it, now they are usually pretty good so long as you dont go over 21psi but i was running 28psi lol.
I seen it as a consumable item lol at that price, so if it had to be changed every couple of years it was no biggie...
BUT after removal it has the normal up and down shaft movement, and slight in/out movement but it had 270 degree bearings. With a decent set of bearings in sure it would have been fine.
When it hit full boost it was brutal lol, lit the rear tyres up and you were almost facing the way you had been coming from lol
So, im all up for trying a kinugawa, so once the house is done ill be looking to fettle with the car a bit and start collecting parts, but its not going to be for a good while yet.

i run a Kinugawa TD06-20G on my V3 type r.
Other mods are full 3" exhaust, HDI FMIC, Silicone intake pipe, Apexi air filter, Walbro fuel pump and FPR.
Power is 380bhp@1.4bar. full boost at around 4700rpm and makes power right to the limiter. standard injectors are maxed out. i was looking to go for 400bhp. still running standard engine.

oh cool, thats not bad at all. Mine feels good yeah! I havent had chance to properly stretch its legs yet...as came straight out of Marks...and straight into traffic all the way home 
but I gave it a few little blips and it definitely pulls much better. I'll give it a proper workout this weekend.
How did yours feel after mapping? I bet that will feel so much quicker in the RB5, than your old Hawk did - even at higher power.
