lol it was done as a pisstake really as i live in west yorkshire which is Honda Central and they love their extreme jdm /jap angled exhausts.
hardly any 172s in the area and i thought i'd annoy a few of the local ones because i knew they wouldnt expect it to move and think its a 1.2.
exhaust and air filter combined do make it sound like a vtec, so many have said to me, there expecting a honda to go past then see me. (still got the standard back box for when i need)

Eggy, was gonna say, I'll give you my old exhaust (non standard) if you take that thing off FFs lol (but you say you have your old one).
Not many pics of mine tbh (can't be arsed to gloat) but here's 1 from when I got it, for £500 mot failure on cracked windscreen, bals tyres, rear light, rear handbrake cable snapped.
All above issues fixed and a few mods done already.another pic when I fitted some rota's I had

At Cadwell last month, I went in my car with a friend in his 182. We never ran both cars at once, swapping over each session so I'd passenger his and he'd passenger mine etc.
I was amazed at the 182 to be fair, it seemed so compliant and he was able to play with it and really push on - even in the wet. I'll be honest, his laps felt so much faster than mine did (times said otherwise) but considering the power difference and lack of 4wd in the Clio - it really did hold its own.
I'd have one as a track toy if I was ever forced into retiring my Impreza.

You can get it done for a lot less but that is me talking about the cage, seats, coilovers, brakes and of course the engine. The car will have roughly 350bhp and weigh around 900kg's.
For a track toy it will be far cheaper to run than a scoob. It could be built for less using different kit but I wanted a good spec.

The cornering ability of a Cliosport is not to be sniffed at. The sheer chuck ability and control at the limit is very good. They really are great fun on the road and track and also very easy to work on.
Getting a lot more power from the engine is not cheap but is possible as I have found.
Bought mine new almost 12 years ago and still own it. It will never be sold but neither will my P1.
