not having much luck so far, cant seem to find anywhere that's supplies the correct plugs, and if I can all seem to be in American. Shame plugs/connectors don't have part numbers on them so easier to find a source for them

How about this then:
Remove some of the insulation from behind the plug on both wires, wrap new wire round and solder, then tape up.
Lead the two new wires to a new plug, tape up the old one.

Then, when it goes back to normal, just snip off the two new wires, or tape up that plug?

Finally had a reply from lightwerkz, total cost delivered to uk after import duty/tax etc is £86

just finished making the loom for this and a short guide on how to make one aswell. Will be testing it tomorrow to make sure it works ok, if it does ill post the guide up

loom works, just needs abit of tiding up, but will update first post with guide on how to make one
