do you use standard disc's and pads because i use drilled and grooved disc's and brembo pads on a few of my old cars and that works pretty well but i don't know if the drilled and grooved disc's and brembo pads have the same effect on a subaru or if its better to stay with the standard stuff lol

I have drilled and grooved front disks with pagid pads which to be honest I think are crap! Rear discs are standard with pagid pads again. I'd like to change to brembos all round with braided hoses. Should do the trick!

I'll save up for brembo calipers and discs, probably the best thing to do really. Maybe around £600/£700 to do it!

I've been looking at lots of options now we've been talking about it, for the money it probably still the best option. You can use the normal 4 pots but with 335mm discs and bigger pads but it's still £550 for the kit. And that's just the front! Not many options for the rear that are cost effective. I guess that's why the normal 2 pots still make decent money.

2 pots on the rear and 4 pots on the front if you want to use Subaru or Brembo calipers

The front calipers are a direct fit as far as bolting the Subaru 4 pots on to replace the 2 pot fronts. My turbo 2000 had 2 pot sliding calipers up front, they're crap! I also had to fit larger discs to suit the Subaru 4 pots. Very easy upgrade.

Rear calipers need a bracket as far as I know, for both Subaru and Brembo 2 pot calipers. Brembos also require huge discs and special handbrake shoes to fit all classics.

ok well ill probably go for the subaru calipers i just found the bracket for the rear 2 pot conversion and if the front calipers are a straight swap should be nice and easy.
when I've done this mate with 4 pot on the front and 2 pot on the back what sizes disc's shall i use for front and back?
