Wig,when you get your new engine fitted, get it back into Keith Prices and get Peter to check it over for your peace of mind he is a top fella, realistically if a company is going to supply and fit you a replacement engine with a warranty chances are it will be fine.Get some good oil straight in and stop the 200mph runs.

Thanks mate I no he noze his stuf Peter that's a good idea yea I was going to change oil the company that's fixing my car should be tidy like you say, they fit up to 15 engines per week so they can't be all bad it's just a engine and all this advice about rebuildin a forge engine etc it would be cheaper to buy the whole car with a forge rebuild or even a 2.1 stroker seen them for same price as the build costs I think I b fine with the company I useing and the year Warrenty I will have it checked aswel I don't mean to b a tw@t to these people but I treat people how they treat me , and if they dnt like it dnt give it , I didn't start it but anyway ,bin trying to delete my account but can't, dont want to waste time with the so called enthusiast and there pecker wars

Im amazed you got out of school, oh sorry you are still in there
You have absolutely no idea about cars or engines, it revs to 9k, errrrm yes my STI revs till 8k, the point is that its PEAK power is around 6.8k, after that it drops off, the honda's are similar, peak is around 7.6k then drops off so revving it till 9k is a waste of effort.

Oh and honda's break more often than you know, no doubt you will come out with the "honda have never had a vtec unit fail" line, welcome to the "urban myth"

Been reading this from the start and I've been really trying not to be bad and get involved
Wig , you have blown two engines up , so what
It's very simple , if you drive like a cabbage any engine will blow
I think you need to get a car that you can practise your driving skills in until you get the hang of changing gear so it's not hitting the limiter for starters

Why is this thread still going on have you made up your mind exactly what your going to be doing with your car Wig?As that is what I'm interested in hearing about, but the rest of the drivel and nonsense is getting a bit long in the tooth now,it seems that as soon as one member puts down the gauntlet another picks it up for the free argument, this could go on forever.SJ.

Didn't have the car from new , it was a bit of a dog tbh
And hadn't been looked after at all ,
How many members are on this forum ? How many have fecked an engine , even more so how many have fecked two
Go on a Porsche forum and ask how many engine failures with 996 or Bmw forums with m3 vanos failures ,
All cars have issues , it just depends if you're a mard **** and run around crying about it , or grow a set and just fix it
