House of Cards with the legendary Kevin Spacey is excellent.

Dexter was brilliant(apart from the final season)
The greatest boxset I have seen is without a showdown of a doubt "six feet under".
Watching SFU is life changing, anyone who has seen it, took it all in will surely understand what I'm saying.

Breaking Bad is, without question, some of the finest TV ever produced.

If you ever hear an opinion that differs from that, even slightly, they are certifiably insane.

Yes, I'd go with that. The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and Band of Brothers.... 3 series that redefined television!

Game of Thrones is utter sh1te in my opinion!

Bought the complete boxset of the sopranos a couple months ago, not watched as yet.
Watched season 1 and half of season 2 of breaking bad but didn't really get in to it, will finish at some point though.
Bought season 1 and 2 of game of thrones on BR but again not watched yet.

Just started watching Jericho. A little slow maybe at the start, or at least I was getting fidgety, probably as I'm ready for bed

But anyway it's got me cliff-edged after series 2, so I'll be preserving with it and hopefully the tail will unfold to be a good one.

If you watch box sets with the mrs, then I certainly recommend Orange is the new black. Good storyline, Funny, Serious, Violent and Plenty nudity, and it's all women that are at it . Season 3 is being filmed soon so you'll need to preserver.

Quite surprised it has not been talked about alot in this thread, I got right into Sons of Anarchy, I would even rate it higher than Game of Thrones TBH.

I think Ray Donovan is well worth a watch.

Enjoy Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones and Banshee.

Liked Hannibal although lost a bit of interest in S2

But for me The Wire is the best.

I really enjoyed Dexter, I'm currently up to season four of Breaking Bad and really like that.
Deadwood is a very good watch too.

Walking dead, Dexter, Breaking bad, Homeland, Lost, PRISON BREAK, and a must watch 24.

For those of you who use Netflix https://www.scoobynet.com/computer-a...2-netflix.html

Yes, house of cards is very good

The production values are awesome, from the credit sequence onwards

Robin Wright and Kevin spacey are simply sublime

A bit slow at times but worth persevering with

Yes, only 8 episodes. Available on bbc player. Probably based on true story, quite frustrating in a good way as your hoping for the best not knowing what's coming.

I've heard a few say this is good, it's in my queue to watch.

I've just started with "Luther", 10 minutes in and it seems good......

The Shield.
No end of shows have subsequently copied the style.

As far as Dexter goes, I would give up after series 4, the rest were either mediocre or absolute garbage (I gave up before the last series but the other half saw it out and I was vindicated).

The Wire was very slow to get going but if you stick with it then sometime in series 2 it started moving and was subsequently very good.

Southland is pretty good.

The problem with virtually all series nowadays is that they are led by audience figures, in that provided a large number of people are still watching then the producers will milk the **** out of it and punt out any old drivel when they should have wrapped it up well before (Dexter is a classic example of this).
The flip side of this is something like 'Last Resort' which got off to a cracking start with a main theme and various subplots but at around episode 8 it was not renewed due to audience figures and the whole thing was clumsily wrapped up in two episodes.

Have you seen American horror story? It's not usually my fave genre but the first two series are excellent. The acting, script etc are top notch.

I've watched 24, breaking bad, and just finished the unit which were all good. Can't get in to American horror story. Just need to pick a new one now.

I suppose you can't commit to a TV series when you could be parachuted at any time into any number of global hotspots on accounts of your Special Forces/Black ops training.
