Complete Bull****!
The OP used to have a Subaru, and he "modded" it. And guess what happened?

Bit of a dodgy looking day today , may be best to phone her and tell her to leave the car at home
You know she may get stuck at a junction wheel spinning....even worse she may end up in a ditch trying to get it round a corner
Tell you what......be the good son and lend her the Subaru , piece of mind and all that....she will be much safer popping to asda
Think I will take the rs for a spin today....that's if I can get any traction

Yep and you got in on the slating on that too
It my car an ill do what I want with it
If you don't like it say it once and leave the thread
And you still haven't answered how the mods on the st at poorly done
RS vents are cut in and fotted correctly and are in the correct position
Grills are fitted using the same mounts as the original grill
Badge is a cover
Only thing that's at attached with anything non ST's it the splitter and the rear diffuser
And saying rs vents are for the RS only
Is a bit pot kettle black when 90% of Scoob owners fit the STi rear spoiler and bumper spats
Same old bull from the same old people
Oh forgot I'm not aloud to modify it unless you say so and to your tastes

I looked at the exact same car a few months ago and thought
" yeah looks good " sat in it ,moved the gearstick then looked and felt all the flimsy bits of trim and then walked away
Didn't even bother driving it , tacky
Regards the mods , your car your choice
Are they done badly , no
Do they enhance the look of the car , no
Coloured badges were great in the 90's but sooo old hat now
The bonnet vents now break up the stripes , so what once flowed from front to back has now been broken up by two black blocks
But it's your car and your happy
I've commented so now I'll **** off

you did well to break it then, i know 3 other cars pushing 450 + that still run the 5 speed no problem. I broke my classic 5 speed on the isle of mann, was only running 280ftlb but pretty sure i missed a gear which is what mullered it.

you'd be surprised how many gearbox let go because of missed gears, snik a couple of teeth and the shock can be enough that they let go. The hawk 5 speed does seem to be considerably stronger than the earlier ones though.

Why buy a rs for say £19 k
When you can buy a st for between £5k and £10k
Spend £5k on it and it'll shred a rs and you've still got say between £3kand £9k to insure it and go on holiday and still have money to buy a god for bid a Wrx with a STi spoiler on lol
Cos STi parts can't be fitted to a wrx
You have to but a STi as gob ^ says so

Looks good to me and the mods all seem extremely well done and work wth the car (plate aside, but as explained that is temporary).
The trouble with this place is that as soon as someone puts up pic of a car that isn't a Subaru STI the knives come out. I learned that with my last AMG which is one of the reasons no pics of my current one are to be found on this site!
True petrolheads appreciate and understand all sorts of different marques and vehicles, this site more than most seems to have a high number of posters who are only interested in Subarus and have no appreciation or understanding of other marques!

You were asking for it by putting a ST on here, a lot of the clowns on here can only see Subaru as a car. Some of these would take a £4000 piece of sh*t Scooby over anything much more expensive. The ST is a great car and i loved mine, i had the Code Red re-map & CAIS so it was running aprox 285. Yes it wont launch in the wet but once moving they are pretty damn quick. Get yourself on fordrst.co.uk for any advice etc.
P.S
I drove to Northern Italy over the Stelvio Pass in mine, i would never of dreamed of trying to do that in my Blobeye PPP
