I'm looking to eventually wire mine up to fold out when the car is opened and fold in when locked. My system is complicated by the fact that the alarm auto-locks and unlocks the doors, so I can't simply use the central locking as suggested. If your car doesn't auto-lock then with a simple interposing relay it should be simple enough to work out.

I'll need to take mine off the alarm unit itself to find a perm-live that operates with arm & disarm. Not 100% sure if it will work yet.

Great bits of kit though these units. Mine works fine with the turbo timer and the mirrors stay out until the engine switches off.

Surely a simple time delay relay would do the trick without the hassle?

In answer to your question, I have a test rig here that I test all the units on before they get sent out. If you could return the one you have, I'll test it when I get it back. If there's something wrong with it, I'll refund your postage (around 3 quid). I'll include return address label so you can re-use the jiffy bag.

2 minute job to exchange the unit now that you've done the wiring

Dozza went "Off the reservation" for quite some time.

Mine is still working and as I wired it differently it still has the heated mirrors which are a god send in this weather!

It does it you wire it the way the OP suggested as it effectively cuts into the incoming power to the window controls and cuts the heated mirror line. I think a few pages back I said how I'd done mine connecting into another 12v source instead.

I will have to find your link as heated mirrors are a must as not only frost but just mist etc gets on them fire the heaters on for a few seconds clear...

Does your car have electric folding mirrors?

If it's got the motors and internal switches to fold the mirrors in then the units sold here can be made to fit.

Hi
Sorry to dig up an old post, I’ve changed from my sti hatch to the wrx sti 2015 and wondered if you do these for my new one?

Cheers

They are the same kit for all cars, you'll just have to work out if you can fit it to a newer model or not. If you're ok with electrics and not afraid to take your car apart then I'm sure it can be done.

Thanks BPR. FarfocelI sent me a picture of his mirror controls and he has a push-button for the fold function.

I will only guarantee that my module will work with the rocker-type switch as these provide a permanent live to the mirrors regardless of position.

If anybody wants to mess about trying to get it to work in a different configuration, that's up to them but I will not provide support for fitments it was not intended for.

I'll spend all day helping someone if they fit it as it was intended!

It should be noted that I have a small number of these from the last batch that I made and I will not be making any more. Ever.

Get 'em while you still can!

So I've just had a rude and abusive PM from FarfocelI essentially telling me to take my time to help him and get this working on his car, when I explained I wasn't the seller only another purchaser sharing my experience and trying to help people I got a follow up aggressive rude PM from the lovely chap!

Some nice people on here I see!

I will help anyone who is not rude as far as my knowledge & experience lets me. To be honest, everything you need to know to fit these kits is already in this thread somewhere and the useful instructions supplied by Major Sarcasm. Who I might add, is a nice chap!

Some people are just *******s eh
I ordered one of these from MS and he was very helpful. I even bought some folding mirrors and switch but sadly UK classics dont have the correct wiring so it was never going to work. Not his fault.

Anyway talking about fixing stuff, why haven't you been around to fix my two front doors !!! god damnit

Then i pm'd You and You give me no advice just to read previous posts and pdf file what i did and there is no answer at all.
You have no idea how to fit it in any car im sure and You are just tread spammer with no knowdlege at all.
If You could stop giving false advices on treads where You have no clue what are You talking about.

Dude, you're not helping your case. It won't work in your car. Move on. Life's too short.

For your information, BPR is an extremely helpful guy, who's gone out of his way to assist people in this thread even though he's not associated with the device in any way.

You sad sad little man. Poor you.

Please can you stop sending me rude abusive PMs now as you've just sent me another I won't be replying to. I do hope you get banned. This site doesn't need abusive low life's like you.

As already mentioned, you're not helping yourself out here. The information you need IS already in the thread but instead of reading through you just PM me telling me to give up my time to help you. I know of at least one other person who's fitted this kit to the same car as yours. But he was more intelligent than you obviously and a thoroughly decent bloke. I'm quite sure if you sent him abusive messages as you've done to me he'll also gladly tell you to jog on just as I've done so.

Thank you. 😂

It will work on my car, I know member Who did it ,itwas many moons ago, there is a video on YouTube white jdm hawk
Me trolling?? That's rich. Scan one or two pages back in the thread... Unless you're more lazy than I first thought? I've already said where I took the 12v feed from. My car has exactly the same door switches as yours, I should know I've also owned a hawk.

Whoever you're talking about isn't who I am talking about. The other guy who got this working also posted details on this thread.

Just read the thread!!!!!

Don't PM me demanding I give up a day of my time to get your £20 bargain box working on your car BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO LAZY to do it try anything yourself, or even read.

The end. I've already reported you for your abusive messages.

I still have some available. However, I don't support fitting to any other models than those described in the 1st post.

Thanks
