See this is why I fear for the country when people cant distinguish what credentials you need to follow a religion. Doesnt matter where he was born, what colour he is etc, if he chooses to be a Muslim and follow Islam then so be it. :

 

I didn't notice his accent, I was more shocked at how calm and coherent he was after committing such a horrific act.

 

It's a bad thing that happened today with a life being taken away,but don't go down that road talking about colour as if every black person walks around with knifes,I had to grow up with all those stereotypes of black people ****,with just a hand full doing wrong and a whole race of people being tarred by a fews actions,would the crime be any less worst if they were white?i don't think so.SJ.

On one channel, the ****'s face was blurred, but on bbc it wasnt (unless they've recently changed it).

At least people know what one of them looks like now

Those in the hospitals having to treat these 2 sick individuals must be finding it very hard to do keep their professionalism. I would want the sickos to suffer as much pain as possible whilst making sure they survive so can be interrogated.

It's a horrific thought to even begin to imagine what this young guy went through and my thoughts are with his family and those who had to attend the scene and deal with the bloodshed.

Copycat attacks by other extremists are what will be feared by the authorities in the coming days as such publicity as gained from today's attack is exactly what they crave.

 

It's sound from a security perspective, it makes monitoring and intelligence gathering easier. Shame we missed these Woolwich muslims.

I just can't imagine how upset and angry his family must be. The people just watching and tweeting/videoing reminds me of that Black Mirror episode.

 

We have heard from a man - an attacker, who you see in the ITV News footgage - with a knife and blood on his hands, saying "...we swear by almighty Allah, that we will never stop fighting you. Until you leave us alone, your people will never be safe".

He goes on: "...the only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying by British soldiers every day. This British soldier is an eye-for-eye, a tooth-for-a-tooth."

 

Seen it too and it makes very sad, angry and very scared for society.
