Woolich attack WTF!!
Fortunately these types of people on both sides are a minority, organisations like EDL are able to stir a few other retards into liking a FB page, which will be about the full extent of their actions, the odd muslim or darkie of any faith may get a kicking here and there, but probably not much more than usual.
I don't think that there will be much in the way of recrimination from the white masses as most of the type that would like a page such as EDL can barely drag themselves away from the flat screen tv to go to the fridge for another free beer, and have their weed delivered with the pizza or kebab meat and chips.

The biggest problem is going to be copy cat attacks and not just in the UK from other muslim nut jobs, this sort of behaviour IS indoctrinated into the faith from a very early age by those that would do evil deeds, you only have to look towards Israel to see where this could go, when will our governments realise that the British public has no stomach for this sort of thing, they even complain when soldiers are killed in active duty, which at the end of the day is part and parcel of the job, so to be expected.
Now don't get me wrong Any loss of life is a tragedy, but what boils my p1ss is that it's always the PAWNS wether they be in uniform or civvies on both sides, and the innocents that pay the ultimate price while the politicians and magnets sit in their ivory towers counting their coin, with no greater consequences than a dip in the polls or profits, no wonder there is no impetus to change the status quo.
This is just the "of the moment reason" but it doesn't take a historian or james bond movie to point out the blindingly obvious, or does it.
101K is about 0.16% of the population which is still fairly insignificant statistically, but larger than 0.0000001 % by a factor of about 1.6million
So the press keep going on about a backlash. So let me get this right some Engerland type is going to go and bash a randomn Paki. Which could result in family or said paki going and bashing randomn IC1 person who then does the same to a brown person and so on so forth. Where will this all stop then?
I popped in to a supermarket earlier. The biggest queue wasn't at the checkouts, but at the Help for Heroes donation bucket. I hope that H4H do something fitting for the family of the deceased soldier.
What gets me is that someone feels so strongly about the suffering of someone they have never met and reacts by killing someone they have never met, the only difference is the religion. They all claim to be "Brothers", unless of course, there is cash involved, then they become bitter enemies, sometimes it just seems like plain old irrational hatred, racism with some idea that what happened 5000 miles away somehow justifies cutting someones head off in broad daylight.
Then you get different factions killing each other, Sunnis v Sh'ites, anyone says anything they do the "Silence, I kill you" thing, surely if their religion is so fantastic and they are so happy with it, a little bit of criticism shouldnt provoke such a reaction.
Every day a market explodes in Iraq or Afghanistan, its like listening to a repeat, why do they blow each other up so often if they hate us so much ?
Anyone else think it is partially down to jealousy, especially in some of the dusty, dry countries, must look like fun over here, no wonder they get peeved, our goverments dont help by sticking their nose in, leave them to it. The countries were ****holes ruled by despots, but they seem to miss that part.

I just found their "likes" tripling in 24hours was to me astonishing

Yup, would have been nice for some good old US style policing whereby they shoot the guys in the legs and then about 15 of them jump the criminals (putting a few well earned kicks and punches ) I mean arresting them in a civilised manner
I blame the previous UK government that sowed the seed of hate towards its own electorate, particularly the older generation that have sacrificed the most to ensure our freedom. The current very weak government has sat on the fence and done nothing.
Listening to them in the media over the last two days, all spin and bluster, yet still promoting the multicultural ideal is just becoming tiresome and sickening.
The media even allowed some twisted Islamic air time this morning to spout his rhetoric over breakfast.
The BNP and EDF will surely be demanding the same coverage to put forward their views as I am writing this
I am deeply ashamed that I live in a country that is lead by such inept weak government that has allowed a member of its armed forces to be slaughtered like a dog in public in broad daylight.

I'm not sure. You aren't usually backward in coming forward on most issues. I just feel as if you're holding back and not putting your own take across.
Understandably everyone is upset and emotional at this time and there are going to be some knee jerk reactions and comments. I still haven't fully taken it in myself. It seems quite surreal, an almost suspended reality. It's difficult when the kids are asking what's happening, what do you do? Tell them what's happened or shield them from the brutality of it all?
How do you feel? You were very reticent in the wake of the Anders Breivik massacre and I'm getting a similar vibe about this Woolwich incident.

This was an attack by a brave edl member on a helpless pensioner. Note edl was not mentioned once and nor was "terror attack". If your going to use a standard, make it an equal one. It also did not make any "major news" and was more brushed to the side unlike this sad woolwich incident.
As for "going back to your own countries" goes. Why don't we strike a deal? You get out of Afghan, Iraq, Pakistan and all the foreigners can go back to their countries and live in peace. Oh and return the resources that have been stolen, i mean borrowed, over the last century.
Alot of the members on here it seems don't see the wider picture and have a lack knowledge outside of the sun newspaper or daily mail.

P.S. How do you know the killer in the Mail article was EDL?

There are some decent members on here too judging by this thread. JTaylor, judging by your previous posts, i would not put you in that bracket. Therefore won't and don't have to explain myself to you. You do some homework and you will find the answer to your question.

Interesting points on this thread.
I'm genuinely interested in the views of our Muslim community on SN on this matter. I think we all agree it was a horrific act of violence, but rightly or wrongly. Our tabloids and media are the ones that shape the thoughts and views of the world, especially in the west.
I wonder what the world would be like without/limited media?

Over the past two days I have been extra vigilant, ensuring no member of my family goes anywhere except in a car. There is an eerie still tension in the atmosphere, any moment I'm expecting something to kick off. Thankfully my fears as yet have been unrealised. Hopefully the situation isn't futile, if that is the overriding feeling amongst people then the extremists are on the path to victory.

I swore I wasn't going to get sucked in to this thread and I get that people feel angry that what has happened has happened, but I don't get the backlash of support for the likes of the EDL or the people saying it shows multiculturalism has failed.
There are crimes committed every week by all creeds and races in this country ... the people doing this are all criminals, scum, sick ... call them what you will, but their race and creed is irrelevant. A lawbreaker is just that... a lawbreaker... after that I really don't care what colour or religion he/she is or what crusasde he/she claims to be on that drove them to commit their crime, I just want them prosecuted and off the streets!
