Hi guys

7.53 wasn't easy as we had traffic all day and medium compound Yokohama road tyres. To be fair to Subaru and Tommi their time was a great one but they had a fully closed track and a works team for back up.

We drove to the Ring on the tyres we used, with very Minimal spares, and only 1 member of staff for technical support.

A great build, a great car and a great driver in Fredy Leinhard from Rent4Ring vehicle hire to get this time.
7.29 unofficial time from Bridge to Gantry and we will post up full lap as soon as we get back to the UK.
He ran the car on medium boost (circa 420bhp) and yet we still managed to do a 7.53.08 time

Very proud of everyone who helped us to achieve this time and build the car and a big thanks to all the support from everyone.

Hope to see you all at a track day soon

Team Revolution

Good time for a guy who hasn't driven the car before to its limits, so could prob do better.

Now reduce the bloody price and I might be tempted

cheers for nice comments guys..

reckons another 10 seconds in the car if we were able to book the track out exclusively for 2days testing before the lap as Subaru Japan did
;-)

Speaking to a lot of insiders at the track day who said Tommi's car was defo not std and was pushing out well over 400bhp.

Makes our achievement even more rewarding as we only ran on mid 400's setting

Driver has done over 10,000 laps of the Ring...just won a race there last week as it happens and he owns Rent4Ring hire Co.

Fredy Leinhard Jnr - pretty experienced

Tyres were Yokohama Advan A048R in 255/40/17..

Last time he drove the car was last October so guess he was a little rusty

Would love to see a comparison of a non pro driver at speed in a good car as yours, I dont have enough experience to compare as only done 30 odd laps..

cheers for feedback though as all interesting reading..

I know him well i also know all the lads at rsr buddy like i said its very hard to get that time.

Has you can see lines very messy,Also braking far to late-early on many corners,But hey i take nothing away its not easy when under stress,Ive done 80 laps 8.15 in my spec c standard form last year.

But i will try my best to get a decent video up of me in my car on the 24-27th of this month.

You may hire me then to drive your'e beast

Personally I don't think he's driving too bad considering the tyres he's using, and the lines seem ok to me, seems like he is keeping the car straight as possible in the corners as per turning early into them as he knows what's coming next so he can counter steer without too much reduction of speed into next corners, as apposed to taking them wide he seems to be turning early, (style of driving perhaps)
can't comment on the braking as I've never been
Well done all the same.
