Photos will follow soon, I am doing a build blog for people to have a read through once this part of the car is complete

The spraying is done by a local guy I know. Im not getting the car sprayed though its being skinned (covered) in real carbon fibre all over and the roof is being replaced with a carbon skin.....which will also be available to buy from us

I have been forced away from the Subaru scene by certain people trying to pull my business down, this blog and threads like I am doing here proves them wrong. Hopefully one day when people come to realize that I am an honest business and you shouldnt believe things you read without seeing for yourself then I'll move back into making Subaru parts

Until then I'll continue to build my show car and see how things go!

I hope it goes well. I can only assume that you treated another person like you did me resulting in negative feeling. I lent you parts to copy, posted at my expense to help you out, and never got them back. You threatened me with legal action when I asked for the parts back. Go business plan!

Looks amazing! Are you planning to space to wheel out anymore to make full use of the extra arch width?

There isnt that much of a gap between the edge and the wheel its just from that angle

I need to get someone to look at the suspension setup once this is done, last thing I want is the car jumping about on country roads and the tyre hitting the flare. May invest in some new arms and under bracing but im not sure which to go for yet

Haha I thought it was a dig but wanst sure.

End of the day it each to their own, the car will be covered in carbon by the end of the year hopefully. It'll be one of a kind and the perfect advertisement for my business

BTW the photos are only early lay up, the end result will be along the lines of this:

Suppose you can call it a dig. It means it's not going to look good

I take it your just going to be adding resin over that and then sanding resin and clear,

Will you be vacuum bagging the panels on the car?

Personally I'd be taking the wings off to do them.

The picture above is totally different to what your doing.

Good luck like but I think you've bitten off more than you can chew

Ive definitely bitten off more than I can chew that was the idea when I started it, you dont create something that stands out from the crowd being conservative with your mods.

The panels cant be vacuum bagged they are all blended in as one, they dont need to be the end result will be the same. The process is lay up, add resin, smooth, add more if needed then lacquer.

The difference between the photo above and mine will be one is skinned and the other is full dry carbon, the look will be the same.

Have a look at these, not vacuum bagged just skinned.

Its a huge project thats taken a lot longer to do than we first thought, the whole thing has gone wrong once already its had to be stripped back and started again. The end result will be worth it IMO Ive always wanted a carbon covered car and it'll be good advertising for the business

Surely the point of carbon fibre panels is that they are lighter?
If these are steel panels with grp arches that are covered. In theory they will In fact be hevier?
