Evo's are the digital range though aren't they?

If you can afford it get the Defi's, the Genome range look the nuts if you can find them.

they are white and light up green at night to match dials, there is a brightness adjuster on the gauges

Oh, I utterly agree - it's all down to the level of interaction you want from the gauges at the end of the day. But, if you AREN'T too fussed about the extra features, Defis aren't necessarily the way to go.

Is the Red/Blue manually switchable or is it a case of it's blue during the day (no headlights) and red on a night (headlights)? I've seen gauges like this in the past.
If you wire them up for day/night illumination, they are manually switchable insofar as the headlight operation will be your switch. There's no way to do it on the fly though.

How did you get to the brightness control? It is quite deeply recessed into the back of the gauge, what did you use to change it?

you get a tool in the gauge packaging to set it, in white mode its fine but at night when its illuminated green it needed turning down slightly

Is that the little white plastic toothpick-looking thing? I got one with the oil temperature gauge, but not the oil pressure and boost gauges which made me wonder if it was specific to the temp gauge.

One less question to ask when I invariably get stuck installing mine.

yep thats the one, i got one with each gauge, it just goes in the hole and turns a number of clicks.

just set one to the way you want it, count the clicks and set the others the same.

illuminated white they arent too bad but when illuminated green at night they were a bit bright until adjusted.

Had my car about two weeks and has come with a mechanical boost gauge (plumbed into vacuum line) fitted with a horrible a-pillar pod, its just one from halfords screwed onto the pillar and itsnt as flush as one made for an impreza would be so will be getting a better pod soon, but whilst doing it should i get a double pod for an extra gauge? If so what gauge should i put in there?

I don't really see a need for battery voltage.... or oil pressure as wouldn't that bring the oil light on the dash if there was a fault with the oil pump? So il be keeping the boost one but what second gauge is most important lol.

Thanks in advance,

I had a set of Autogauge 52mm gauges fitted in a carbon centre pod...

There were great but I fancied a change of direction so I made my own 60mm pillar pod and fitted a Depo 4-in-1 and relocated my PSI3 to the dash top - now everything is in the eyeline
