If you noticed the ISUZU support truck on the ferry
It would be a safe bet to say all 3 cars would of had a complete back up of every perishable part , probably 2 or 3 fold
I would love to know the real list of what they replaced
But I would say sump pans were pretty high up on the list
Who knows ?

I was thinking maybe they had a wrx and a sport as backup. That's poss why they removed the tailgate and put a toilet seat on the bonnet. The sport would have had neither the rear spoiler or scoop, so they were both made to look the same.. Apart from the wheels.

lol, guys your way over thinking things, they had a backup crew of about 30 people, theres a pic somewhere of them lined up to use clarksons loo lol

here you go

There wasnt any conspiracy about it lol, they had cars carrying there spares, where did may hide the 3 extra wheels and tyres he used? hamster got through 3 wheels, also he suddenly managed to find welding gear at the side of the road?

Look I don't mean to sound harsh but who gives a ****. It's a TV programme not some claim to a world record for single handedly navigating the globe. I don't care if they had a support crew of thousands. It was just a bit of fun!

Remember that WE are paying for the crew ....... AND for the Helicopter that, every night, took the 3 presenters to a top Hotel .....

You do realise, of course, that they are helicoptered in to drive a few hundred yards and that's it ...

Who cares?

I'm glad part of my licence fee is going to this program! Much father this than eastenders or songs of praise!

It's a veritable blasphemy upon the UK's weighty body of great comedy.

Thing is, that **** who plays 'Mrs' Brown thinks he's some kind of superstar, don't he.

So embarrassing; reminds me of 'When The Whistle Blows*', within Extras.
