My boss at work has a vxr astra, beautiful car i must say, but hes drove my classic impreza, and now hes getting rid of the vxr and getting an impreza too. We are all biased towards the cars we own! I have came accross countless fwd st fords, leon cupras, astra vxrs and round the streets 1st and 2 nd gear in an awd sccooby is all u need to embarrass em all

Everyone thinks there own car is quick or can be quick , I only bought my wrx blobeye because I wanted some 4wd and a turbo again,and wanted to own the car instead of financing a cheaper sti.had a few fast cars (20v turbo fiat tuned 285bhp,megane 225 tuned260bhp,ep3 type r tuned 220bhp) and had a fair few runs with subarus , a wr1 which was a tad gutted when he got muffed by an old fiat ,also my mate had a 300bhp supercharged ep3 that wiped the floor with nearly everything that crossed its path ie rs4, m3 csl, countless over 300bhp focus st's stis and a couple of fast evos. ,bottom line is anyone can make something go fast .this guy sounds like a tit but bet there's at least one on every ownersclub .

Like has been said, envy, most people mock my car or slate it but if i say, here you go, take her out, see what she drives like, wham, keys snatched out of my hand LOL, envy !

Yes I totally agree the Vxr will get pumped, on the flip side go from a 70 mph rolling start and I bet there wouldn't be much in it , not slating slating scoobynet as a do like mines and have always wanted one, just pointing out that as is the case with everything , there's always someone faster .

The guy who wrote the post running down Scooby owners is probably about 20 yrs old, wears a hoody walking around with a squirrel under each armpit and has got the hump with everyone because he has a face full of zits.

Always makes me laugh that people feel the need to compare their cars to scoobys/evos etc. My fiesta out ran a Scooby! My astra pissed over an Evo! Blah blah blah...
You never see a Scooby driver say "my cars as fast as a Astra". Its always the other way round!
End of the day, we dont compare our cars to their sh*t as we know we are the ones who set the bench mark!

Astra or Scooby - how is that even a choice??? If they went back to a choice of side by side no money option Scooby or Astra i bet they would pick the Scooby!

If driving an impreza makes an Idiot so be it cos I'm one of the happiest idiots around. And the last Astra Vxr that tried to show off to his Mrs looked a bit pissed off when he caught up at the lights after being smoked by a 10 year old car.

I like the astra vxr but prefer the corsa.
I don't think the vxr range will be as iconic as the impreza in say 20 years time, having said that in 20 yrs there won't be any impreza as loads of them are scrapped as they are worth more in parts😥

My mate has a Astra VXR, nice looking car, but he hates the car because everytime he goes out to have some fun something goes wrong, BTW he can never keep up with me even if i give him a head start he falls behind.
He owned the car since new and its the biggest mistake he has ever made (according to him).
