Iv changed mine from green to some pink stuff but didn't give it much of a flush, how important is this step?

It's important to get all the old stuff out - and to flush out the rust and crap.

It's the seals which suffer on a change in 'Type' of Coolant.

Yeah wish I'd left it now, it was the stuff in the expansion bottle making it look worse than it was, the stuff in the system dint look to bad, il have to source some subaru stuff and do it again properly.
