No news yet still waiting for a decision from the claim company.

 

Now waiting for their man to say yes or no to the quote that was submitted.

Every time I get a reasonable budget saved towards the 2.1 build something crops up.

Just read through your thread, seems your not having very good luck mate . At least its just cosmetics. Hope your luck changes soon in respect to starting your 2.1 build

Yes the fella that has done all the work on the car so far will be building the engine.

 

They dont rush do they,still waiting for the engineer to come to a decision.

 

what a strange day.
Spoke to LV who are dealing with my claim to cut a long story short they told me they wanted a local engineer to check my car over so i arranged to meet said engineer at the workshop next Wednesday 1600.I spoke to Ryan to let him know what had been arranged for him to tell me they had recieved an email from the engineer granting permission to commence with the repair.

 

Today my car gets taken to Leominster for the repairs to begin.

 

All being well I should have the car back this time next week .

 

Is Ryan still working in Leominster, I was told hes working elsewhere.. Any truth in this Dave?

 

He no longer works in Leominster,not 100% sure where he is now.

 

All being well collecting the car Saturday.

 

Bit of a delay i will be collecting the car next week.
My plan was to put it off the road and get the ball rolling for the forged build but i am going to wait till January.In the meantime i will be keeping an eye open for any bits that will be of use to us ,

 

Just picked my car up.Very pleased with the repair.

 

Insurance renewal time.....gone up by £39 thanks to that deer.

 

The time has come for my build.

Well that all depends on your goals, if your builder is experienced then go with their recommendations

 

i just like reading about other peoples ideas.
i am hoping to get 400 plus.

 

2.5 forged build 450/450 and away you go

 

hard to argue with this for a road car

 

Also option to closed deck it and go to 500bhp with masses of torque

just need to sort me box out first though

 

everything else has been done to my car the forged build is the final touch.

 

I have managed to source some heads,bought them off Slab on here.
Off to see Ryan on Friday and get the ball rolling.
