So, if you're used to 330bhp Type R, the Clio will seem quite meek?
I had a 313/300 uk Classic which was on a different planet to my 172 so a Type R would be even further away.

What can i say mate. the clio trophy i had was a quick car. i loved driving the thing but on the edge it somehow made me feel very unsafe, i was scared. subaru over the same roads, i always felt in control. i can only assume the clios limits were to easilly reached

Isn't that some of the fun - easily accessible (so more fun) limits? If you really are saying it wasn't that, but plain scary, then fair enough.

Here's the Williams being compared to a Focus RS, where the ***** wins being the lighter, purer and ultimately more fun car

under £3k mate, yes ive driven it a few times, I actually drove one of these when they were first released I worked at tylney hall hotel and was friends with a guy that worked there that had one from new. when I sell my Porsche ile be looking to get one of these, as they can be insured with classic car insurance and have 4 decent size seats, something my old porker is missing.

If you're considering one, make sure you check the sills, and check for rust!! there are good ones out there, also check the forum, im a member there too, same username.

Thanks for the info. This little Williams Clio is appealing more and more. I love lightweight cars

Here's the Mrs's 172 Cup

She had a Std 172 before this and hated it, no steering or brake feel but this is so much better, the brakes are even better with the GodSpeed uprated discs and pads on Keep it at high revs and it'll fly!!

The 172 Cup is a better car than the Williams.
