If most of the UK has sky and is paying that scumbag Murdoch then I am ashmed for this country. The TV license pays for thngs like Frozen planet and the bbc website, Sky pays for viagra for an evil zionist and new bentleys for idiot footballers. I know which one I am happier paying for.

Do you realise that documents regarding the technical details and specifications of TV detector vans are still held secret and was denied release to the public despite requests and complaints under the freedom of information act!

Whereas Murdoch coined $33.3m on his own. That's why they sank the News of The world. It represented 1% of the business.
Clarkson is also a false lead Sam. Top Gear as a franchise is very profitable and they easily make that money back and a lot more. Offsets other programes like Downton etc.

The global sales of the Top Gear series is phenominal and a huge income to the BBC which is the only reason he hasn't been sacked for his previous misdemeanors and outspoken attitude, he simply is too valuable to the BBC to get rid of.
