The colour originally came on the JDM cars as Cool Grey, then renamed for the RB5.

Tell me about it, car went in on the 18th JANUARY, had to wait 2 weeks for "Authorisation", but still. Has been a while lol.

Its getting so long now I may have to announce what colour it`s going, as its as if I`ve not got a Scooby lol.

Ty your safe its NOT going orange, and its NOT going what you thinks it`s going either, so a surprise!!

Lets just say its meeting my initial brief, whilst also meeting the second. So all in all I`m now a happy man!!

In the end it was a hard decision and has taken me a good few hours thinking, and even now I`m torn between 3 colours, one being Orange.

I was speaking to my mate who`s going to be spraying it, that can happily spend double the amount tuning a car, buying ECU`s mapping, suspension, and things like that. But comes to colour I can`t decide.
My head does my head in.

All I can say is I`m so glad the colour is going on tomorrow, as I`ve had niggles in my head and decided to go with what I wanted to do when I bought the car 2 years ago.

I`m gonna get stick, of that I don`t care. But I`ve not the money to do this more than once, so has to be done right.

The colour I had chosen was as Richard said Z2C Blueberry Purple, pics below, but have had niggling doubts about it, and with the cost of the job to redo I cannot have any form of niggles, as if I`m not entirely happy I`m F***ED!!

Pics of what I was going for.

I`m just glad I had time for it to settle in my mind, and I can`t get it to settle fully, so I know I`m not happy.

Yeah I`m going 74F Sonic Blue (P1 Blue).

Yeah its boring and the same colour it is now, but I KNOW I like it, unlike getting it done a different colour and NOT being happy. Air on the side of caution and stick to what I know.

Don't worry you can't be more disappointed than me. I just couldn't get it to settle in my head, and after looking through pics of my car last night from when I had it through to now I just preferred it the way it is, and wasn't comfortable enough in that purple to bite the bullet. When it comes to modifications I can do that no problem.

Anyways went down first thing and dropped off the wheel centres, and sorted the codes.
Anyways some pics.

They have painted the car black with some sort of primer, then grey and are wet sanding it back to show the black through.

What this means in the great scheme of things I don`t know lol.

Don't you usually dust over primer with another colour and then flatten that back to the primer. It helps get the the base coat to a mirror finish.
