My respray thread.
Cars been there since the 17th Jan ffs, I can`t do no more!!
BUT misinformation makes you think what I`m doing is one thing, so if your sure about something then are you believing the misinformation or the reality (Which only 3 know).

Right popped down today to go through everything with the guy doing the work, and they have been having major hassle with the Engineers. Instead of a normal scenario of adding their 10% to the cost of the bodyshop work, they charge the BODYSHOP 10%, so I`ve had to a little jiggery pokery, and I have decided to not get my spare bootlid and bumper sprayed now as otherwise I`d either have to spend more, or not have door jams done etc, and I don`t have the available funds due to other things.
These sodding Engineers (who we had to wait for, for the go-ahead) have been messing us around something chronic.
But all is well and the work has finally started.
Colour has been seen sprayed onto a test piece, and it looks awesome.

Had a bit of a delay with the work, so had to pop down today to sort some paperwork out so took some pics.
Like the colour Yellow?? The whole car was that colour lol.
Anyways glass is still in for the prep work, will be be removed and the areas cleaned up just before the car gets primer, which should be tomorrow.

But this will be the last few pictures till I get it back, and upload the progression pics and then the final result.
Should be awesome.
Oh I can confirm that the wheels are going a Ford frosted white??
Nice bright white colour that the Ford commercial vans come in lol.
Thats the last of the colour, until it is unveiled.

Thing is I`m torn really, as I want to do something different.
BUT
With some colours like Orange, it can make you a target for unwanted attention, from numpties, and police. And with the cost of a full spray job its unlikely to be done again, so will I like it in a few years? Theres NOTHING shy and retiring about a bright orange car. Also possible re-sale values would be affected, as more people would be put off by an Orange car compared to standard.
With a standard colour, its going to look a LOT better than it was, will be a bit more conservative, and I know that in a few years its going to look good, and not dated and "chavvy". And with a standard colour I`m less likely to attract bad attention, and find a colour match for future modifications/repair easier.
Say I`m diving to a job interview, which is likely to give a good impression?? A bright orange Impreza, or an immaculate standard colour Impreza??
So its not cahonas, or bottle, its a serious decision that I have until Monday at the latest to come to a decision, as thats the deadline as to use the paint I have, or buy in something more conservative.
