Turn back the clock and this, for sure, would have been sold in a snip. Just appears to be bad times to be selling anything let alone a lovely car like this.

Nevertheless the car looks and sounds the bollocks, for that price your almost giving it away aren't you!

Ideally I wanted 7.5 - 8k but had to cut my loses and sold it for 5200 ;( but I just didn't drive/use it so no point spending money servicing/insuring/taxing for it to just sit in the garage. Was pretty sad to see her being driven away but the new owner was a nice chap. By the way my daily is a luton transit van lol

Yup just the clutch nothing else, had it serviced in september, had folder full of receipts and I had detailed it so was looking mint. New owner even said he couldn't believe this hadn't sold sooner and he loved the fact it was a clean straight car. The clutch put a lot of people of but would you'd even notice it unless you really pushed it hard, but I didn't want to screw anyone over so made sure I mentioned it so this really didn't help selling it.
On a plus note got over £500 back from the insurance

Seriously is a buyers market out there, I was offered 8k earlier this year but turned it down so didn't want to make that mistake again. I'm now looking to get rid of my wifes 02 plate astra diesel and replace it maybe a 1 series, hoping I can pick 1 up for less than 5k.
