no such thing as a vacumn
a partial depression over universal distances is a s good as you can get
space is not actually empty

Apart from stars and planets etc. etc. what exists in between all those items, can't be air as we know it surely.

"Space" is filled with virtual particles that pop in and out of exitance as they "borrow" energy.....It's impossible to create "nothing" in the quantum world

In quantum physics, no matter exists until you actually observe it; atoms only appear if you begin to observe and measure it.

a small amount of various atoms, spread unevenly throughout.
no where near dense enough to comprise a complex gas like air, plus anti-mater, and the pop in, pop out of existance things i dont know anything about
but its not a complete vacum
basically all known matter, along with start debris, gas clouds, star nursies/nebulas ect

er I think we get the fact that the hard vacuum of space does contain some particles thanks.

How does the self become aware of its existence when it has only itself to observe itself?

well thats good tony becuase i think people think a vacum is actually real in the true sense of the word.
its like people who say theres a vacum in cylinder on the "suck" stroke of an IC engine, the best anyone can ever hope to acheive is a partial depression.

it does exist but in a state of quantum flux

So they have found a new particle that travels faster than light now?
We certainly didn't see that one coming.

Don't for get the invisible, dimensionless, undetectable........DARK MATTER. this is what alledgedly makes up 83% of the mass of the universe.

I thought a reduction of ambient pressure in a space can be defined as a vacuum. Doesn't have to be complete.

Actually the latest thinking is that the universe is made of 70% dark energy, 25% dark matter and 5% normal matter. Its believed that dark energy is opposite to gravity pushing everything apart expanding the universe.

All these theories are a bit like PC Plonkers trying to think of something else to moan about!

im not sure why anything owuld have a 'speed limit' i would have though its all to do with energy levels.
Its all way out of my comprehention.

It is all "relative" of course. Can't see the problem...Seemples!

Will it really turn Physics on its head though, its not twice as fast, its a tiny bit, surely it would just be an adjustment and a margin rather than a rewrite ?

Thanks for yet another exciting explanatory phrase.
